Support

If you have, or someone you know has, been involved in money muling, we are here to help.
Here are our '5 steps to stabilise', as well as some resources to signpost you in the right direction:
'5 Steps to Stabilise'

1. Stop All New Applications
-
Do not apply for bank accounts, credit, phones, loans, insurance, rentals, or jobs with organisations that may check fraud databases. Every application risks adding new markers and extending the damage.

2. Get Eyes on Every Marker
-
Request your data from all relevant fraud databases and credit reference agencies. You need to know who added the marker, why and how long it lasts before making any decisions.
3. Secure a Safe Banking Option
-
Only consider providers with a history of accepting customers with markers and check they are not members of fraud databases first.
-
Confirm your employer will pay wages into the account before applying.
4. Protect Work, Housing & Immigration
-
Assume checks may happen:
-
Employers (especially finance, telecoms, universities)
- Letting agents and landlords
- Immigration applications
-
-
Avoid triggering checks where possible and seek specialist legal advice if you could be affected.
5. Get Proper Support
-
Avoid “no win, no fee” or guaranteed removal services - these are red flags.
-
Only deal directly with institutions or regulated solicitors.
-
If stress is building, mental health support is valid and encouraged.
